Snow Day...

Hi Everyone!

I know it has been awhile and as always, it seems we have been so busy. Kenny is out of town visiting Clint and Marissa in Vail. We miss him so much, and we wish we could be there with him, but Lucky for us we had our own snow day today! We got at least 6 inches of snow which is a lot for NC. Jack and I are staying with my sister and his cousins and we had a great day sleding and playing in the snow. Miss you all... Especially you Papa :)

Another Boy...

Well, as most of you know . Jack has a new cousin and Kenny and I have another nephew. That makes 5 boys and one little girl in our family ( not that anyone is counting) . I love boys so much they have such a special bond with their mamas. With out further adieu, My sister's beautiful baby boy...

What a cutie... Congrats, to my big Sis, Papa Steve, and Big Brother Griffin. We were able to visit them the weekend they came home and here are some photos...

The Zoo...

We made our last trip to the zoo, before it gets too cold in the beginning of September. We are fortunate enough to live so close to such a great zoo. The North Carolina Zoo, in Asheboro, is nationally recognized as one of the nation’s finest zoos.

It was the first American zoo designed from its inception around the “natural habitat” philosophy--presenting animals and plants in exhibits that closely resemble the habitats in which they would be found in the wild.
The North Carolina Zoo was the nation’s first state-supported zoo and remains the nation’s largest walk-through natural-habitat zoo.

Like I said, we are quite lucky. There are all kinds of animals from Elephants, Lions, Harbor Seals, Gorillas, Giraffes, Grizzly Bears, Polar Bears, Elk, and Bison to name a few. In fact, The Zoo is home to approximately 1,100 individual animals representing over 200 species. Here are some photos from our day...

Our Big News...

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to say I am sorry it has been so long in between posts between having no memory left on our computer and everything else going on on it seems I haven't had a spare moment/ or spare memory on the computer to upload photos.

Well, I am sure you have all heard the news by now, that Jack is going to be a big brother!! He is pretty excited. We are due May 5th, 2009, and it seems I am finally starting to feel better! I have had 4 ultrasounds and everything looks great. We can find out if we are having a boy or a girl in mid December, but we are thinking about waiting like we did with Jack. Hopefully, now that my 1st trimester is almost over, and my nights are no longer spent feeling yucky or asleep by 8:30, I can get lots of photos and stories posted up here, because I know Jack has a lot for me to share!

Here are some photos from my latest Ultrasound on 10-27-08...

Keeping Busy While Papa is Away...

We had a very fun filled week, despite Kenny being in PA. for the week. Monday, we went to visit my sister again. Lindsay, Rick's wife, and I packed up all the kids and headed to Aunt Shelly's house. We were able to go to the always entertaining pool/water park! All the cousins had so much fun, and it is great to get them all together because you can really see all their personalities.

Tuesday we headed to The Homeland Creamery, a dairy farm in Julian, NC. Here is a link to check out http://www.homelandcreamery.com/ . Jack was in HEAVEN, there were cows everywhere and even some Cocos. There were turkeys, chickens, sheep, and a baby cow that the kids got to see up close and personal. We headed off on a hayride and learned some history about the farm, and when we got back the kids were able to bottle feed the baby cow. Before we left they gave everyone a sample of their home made ice cream fresh from the dairy farm mmmmmm!!! Here are some pics

Wednesday, we went to see Big Bang Boom, a kids rock band. Jack loves seeing them!!! They usually perform once every couple weeks around town. This week Jack got on stage to sing with all the other kids. My little Rock Star!!!! Here is a link to their website http://www.chuckfolds.com/bigbangboom.html

Thursday we spent the day tie dying all Jack's stained t-shirts...He LOVES making a huge mess, but it is always fun.

So, that is how we stay busy when Papa is away!

Hugs & Kisses,
Ashley, Kenny, & Jack
